Hello from me, Jaydon!

Note: For those that receive entries via email, there is a video in this entry. You should no the drill by now, smiles. Visit www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 and look for Jaydon at 6 weeks!

Hellos everyone, it’s me, Jaydon! I’s 6 weeks old now and according to my mommy and daddy I’s a mommy’s boy. I so loves my mommy! Everyone also says I is very very cute and they wants to kidnap me. Don’t they knows I no likes that and I’ll scream and screams until they takes me backs to my mommy?

My poor mommy doesn’t gets lots of sleeps because I no likes that either. Sleep is no good, no no no! Especially if I’s not with her. She keeps trying to gets me to sleeps by myself, but I no wanna do’s that. I loves being cuddled close doesn’t she knows that too? Why shoulds I sleeps by myself? Why why why!

And why’s does she keeps putting me on my tummy? I no likes that and rolls over, heheheheheh! I likes rolling over. Roll roll roll! Here’s I go!

My mommy and daddy makes lots of videos of me so my brother and sister can see me and lots of other peoples. you shoulds go look at my video too, yes yes yes!

I’s also starting to talks a little and mommy keeps trying to records me, but I go quiet, shhhhhhh, you can’t hears me! She says she will win and catch me one day, but no no no’s, I no thinks so mommy!

Well, it’s my naps time even though I no likes it, but I’s tired and I’s trying to fight it, but I no listens to myself, waaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaa! Mommy’s it’s times to cuddles!

Adventures with baby J at 2 weeks

Wheeeeee! Time continues to fly right on by! Baby J is now 2 weeks old and here’s the adventures he’s brought us this time.

For those viewing this entry via email, there is a video attached, so make sure to pop on over to www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 and look for baby J.

For those of you that have not seen how *cute* and *adorable* Jaydon is, how about we give you that chance now! Take a look at this video at the star of the show!!

Whenever I can remember how to do so, I will be adding his pictures to my photo collection as well. But isn’t he sooooooo cute? That’s what everyone keeps telling us and stating they’re going to kidnap him. I need to seriously invest in those security bracelets like they have at the hospital, lol.

Finally, its daddy’s turn!
Ah, so one day daddy took it on himself to change J’s diaper while I was sleeping…rare moment getting to sleep for me you know, lol. Anyways, his first time he does an *awesome* job. Go daddy! That was even with part of that annoying umbilical cord still attached. Gods, I’ll be glad when that’s finally all gone!

Baby J gives daddy a hard time!
Oooops, sorry daddy. This time changing that diaper doesn’t go as smoothly, hahah.

1. daddy gets everything ready to change the diaper
2. daddy places J on changing table
3. daddy goes to unbutton onesie

Jaydon, Ooooops, sorry daddy, you can’t change my diaper! *crosses his legs over his bum and hides the buttons* and refuses to let daddy move them!
Daddy, *laughing* he won’t let me take his clothes off
Me, hahahahahahahah

I of course am highly amused by this development and let it go on for a few minutes before rescuing daddy…or maybe I was rescuing the baby? lol.

I walk in the room and of course have to tease daddy.

Me, J, are you giving daddy a hard time?
jaydon, *big smile* and starts waving his arms and legs around
Daddy, *walks off to have a cigarette while laughing* Of course he was

First doctors appointment
Well, our little guy just had his first appointment yesterday morning and of course, *you guessed it* everyone ooooooo’d and aaaaaah’d and wanted to kidnap him, smiles.

J is doing well except for his weight. It’s not horrible, but I’m just a little concerned about it and daddy is more so. He’s a pound under his birth weight at 6lbs, and about 9 ounces and I sometimes feel that even though he eats and eats and eats, he’s just not putting on weight…quite the opposite, he seems to be losing. He’s still giving me loads of wet and poopy diapers so nothing to be overly concerned about, but still, *grumbles* Trying not to get too stressed about it since that won’t help with milk flow either, but damn that’s hard, lol. Anyways, as I said, besides that the little guy is looking great and the doctor wants us to come in next week for a weight check.

Mommy’s boy
lol, now this little guy is definitely a mommy’s boy. In my opinion i think he’s more my little shadow than my other 2 monsters were. With them I at least got them to sleep in their beds all the time. Smiles, J will during the day, but I can’t for no reason get him to stay there at night. This should make it fun when I start back to work on Tuesday night.

people say it’s because i’m a night owl that he’s one too and has to be with mommy. Hahah, most likely that is true. hmm, wonder if I can get double pay for teaching Jaydon early about working for Red Roof?

Now if he is not with me and say daddy tries to comfort him by holding him or rocking him and he really wants his mommy….trust me, he will let you know it, lol. Squirmy boy and pretty much make you death by those awesome set of lungs of his, he will demand you take him to his mommy!

Anyways, until the next update. I hope everyone has a great long weekend!

All about the winter melon. 2 weeks to go!

Whew, we are still alive, honest!

For those receiving this via email there is a video in this entry. You should know the drill now, smiles. www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 and look for 36 weeks.

Wow, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to update everyone in a while, bad me! So lets give a refresher, shall we?

Last month we were in training for a job with Red Roof Inn and our lovely little hellion decided he’s had enough and he was ready to come out! look right here to check out J complaining to management and to this day he is still very determined that he wants out right now and does not want to wait until his eviction date!

roll roll roll, stretch stretch stretch

Baby J
Hellos out there! I’s still stucks in here! Hows does I gets out of here’s? *push push push* I’s find a ways out!

Ow ow ow ow, that was my rib kiddo! Whew, I’m to the point where I agree with the little hellion….let, him, out, already! My body will thank you, lol.

Right now the little monster is having a blast pushing against my ribs and dragging his foot back and forth while I try and right this! *ow ow ow ow ow* How much longer is left?

So, we finished training and got back home from Springfield Ohio on July 29th and the following week, the first week of August started the doctors doctors and more doctors visit. yep, I now have my second home at the doctors. On Mondays I visit the hospital where J will actually be born and on Fridays I have my appointment that’s here in town.

The first week which I said was August 1, we were pretty concerned that they might have to take the little guy early due to the fat he tried coming out early already. Plus, on top of that some people decided it would be a *great* idea to stress me out and my blood pressure went *waaaaaaay* up and that was concerning for the doctor as well. But, in the end Mr. J still doesn’t get his way and has to wait!

Baby J
No no no no nos, I nos likes it. I nos wants to waits! *push push push, stretch stretch stretch* Lets me outs I says!

last week, which was week 36 we got more stuff for Jaydon, diapers, coothes and other important things like that and lets just say his bed was completely buried! Check it out! For those that can see, his bedding is pretty cool, smiles.

Also last week at the hospital part of the visit during the ultrasound we were told that he was happily sucking his thumb. He didn’t have a care in the world since not long before that I gave him his favorite, apple juice!

Baby J
kick kick kicks, roll roll, Apple juices, me wants apple juice!

Yeah, I probably shouldn’t have just thought that, hahaha. Better wrap this up soon so I can go find that apple juice before he really gets going!

We’re now at week 37 with just 2, count them, 2 weeks to go and the little winter melon is quite active and still bound and determined that he will get his way. Since he like never sleeps I must say that it’s fun trying to work and talk to callers making reservations when you have a little monster kicking your butt and really making his views known about his crappy accommodations!

push push push push, stretch stretch stretch.I sits on mommys blatter! Takes that mommy. kicks kicks kicks!

Ow ow ow, ok, guess I’m done writing now! *groans* my poor ribs. Oof, and back the the bathroom I go too it looks like!

So until next time from the land of the winter melon and I, take care all! And someone pleeeeeease send me sleeping darts for the monster!

Only 8 weeks left!

For those that receive this via email there is a video in this entry. You know the drill, go to www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 and look for *pregnant May week 31*

Can you believe it, there’s only 8 weeks to go! How time flies when you’re expecting a Mexican jumping bean!

Our little hellion is doing just great. *active* is an understatement! Baby J does not know the meaning of the word *sleep* or anything that is even remotely close to it.

We had our last doctors appointment on Friday, July 1 and his heart rate for this visit was sitting at 148, smiles.

Let me tell you that this time when we heard his heartbeat, we had the crap scared out of us! We’re not sure if it’s how baby J was hanging out in there or how the nurse was holding the monitor, but it seriously sounded like there was 2, count them, 2 heartbeats going off!

All that was going through our minds at the time was *oh no,* is it 2 in there? No no no no! It just can’t be, lol.

The eviction time has been set and will be carried out at 9AM on August 29, yay! This means I have to be at the hospital at 7AM, *groans*

Now, here’s the bad news and why Jaydon will absolutely hate me! Our doctor once again is making me be mean to our little guy. I can not, repeat, can, not, eat after midnight! *cries* He can’t have his apple juice or any of his favorite drinks!

I did warn our doctor that she’ll be pulling out a pissed off little boy and she laughed. Ha, she thinks I’m joking!

Mommy weight game 2.0
The weight game has started over due to the fact that we were running out of contestants from the first round, smiles. So if you want to get in another guess for round 2.0 of what will I weigh come August 29, then get those guesses in now. I’m now sitting at between 181 and 183 with 8 weeks left to go!

Current guesses are:
1. 185
2. 195
3. 200

Now, here’s the video for everyone to see what I look like now. This video was done on Sunday before we left for Springfield Ohio. ISorry for voiceover that just *would not* shut up!

Baby J’s height and weight game
We also started a new game Saturday night for baby J. What do you think he’ll be by the time his eviction date rolls around?

current guesses:
1. 19in 9.2lb
2. 21in 9.5lb
3. 19in 8.13lb
4. 18in 9.4lb
5. 19in 9lb
6. 19in 8.5lb

Wow, lots of guesses for him, smiles. So put in your guesses and lets have some fun and see who’s right at the end!

Would you like cauliflower with that?

We made it to the final stretch! Welcome to week 28, the last trimester! Would you like cauliflower with that?

For those that receive the entries via email there is a video in this entry. You know the drill, smiles, www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 Thanks to our Aunt Sharolyn the video has been corrected and is no longer sideways, lol.

Results of the sugar tolerance test
If you remember from the last update I mentioned that I had to do the 3 hour version of the sugar tolerance test, just bleh! As I said I think they like torturing me and making me drink that horrible orange drink!

For those of you that have never had to drink this here’s what may be as close as I can make it for you to understand. Think of the orange crush and then add sugar. If it’s not sickly sweet, then add more sugar! Gross right? Now imagine drinking that on an empty stomach and it has to be all gone between 5 to 15 minutes. Both my stomach and baby J was like….don’t like this, not at all!

Now I did this test last Monday. I couldn’t eat anything from midnight until after the test. In the end it was a little over 13 hours before we had food. Do you know how pissed off my little guy was?

From baby J
I’s was not happies! Mommy is suppose to feeds me when I says so, not makes me starve! I’m a growing boy in here you know! I kicks and pokes and pokes some mores but she still no feeds me.

Now if I would have failed this lovely 3 hour nightmare I would have had to poke myself 4, count them, 4 times a day! NO WAY! Luckily though all came back ok and baby J and I are just fine, smiles. No more torturing us with no food for hours on end! Now if I can just get him to understand that food won’t be withheld so he stops trying to immediately make me sick when he says he’s ready for food, lol. Any ideas?

Braxton Hicks?
What the heck, braxton hicks! Where did those come from? i did not have those with my other 2 monsters. What, what what!

I explain what I was feeling to my doctor and she immediately said…that’s normal!

What, that’s not normal. I did not have these before, lol. Once again our little guy is out doing his siblings and making this pregnancy totally different. Of course I was told I don’t have anything to worry about unless I start getting them about 4 times a hour i think she said. Um, how about can we not have them at all/ lol.

Baby J’s room
As I mention above sorry if the video looks sideways. I guess the IPhone didn’t want to switch over to landscape mode. Not many people told us it’s sideways, but just in case, sorry, smiles.

I mentioned at the last update that we got him a 7 in 1 crib. Well, thanks to our neighbor Jason it was put together on Sunday and looks awesome! So, his room is pretty much all ready for him. Just need a few more things to finish it up, but for now have a look!

What’s your guess?
Well, the weight guessing game is just about out of participants, lol. So I think we will be starting the weight guessing game over with round 2, smiles. So get your second round guess in now! We have about 11 weeks to go and I am currently sitting at 181 pounds! Holy hell! Can you believe that?

Well, I think that’s all for this update. The next will be around July 1. So until then have a great week and try and keep cool wherever you are!

Remember if you’d like to get something for baby J please get in touch for our address or go through our amazon baby registry.

Baby news week 26

To those that receive the blog updates via email there is a video in this entry so you’ll need to go to my youtube channel to watch it www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1

This week baby J is a turnip eggplant, hahaha. The poor site we use once again is all confused, smiles. So who knows what he will be come tomorrow.

So here we are at the end of week 26 with baby news!

So last week I had to do the horrible sugar test again, just bleh! I really don’t think my doctor likes me, hahaha. Usually when you don’t hear anything no news is good news right/ Well, not this time! Sadly the test came back with my sugar being pretty high and that spells *disaster* This now means I have to take the 3, yes 3 hour test and I can’t eat anything after midnight. This is *not* going to make baby J happy at all! Once he tells me he’s hungry I can put it off for a little while before he starts hitting that button of, mommy I said *feed* me and feed me now! If I’m an idiot and not listen to him he decides to get more insistent and starts making me sick. Just great! So, on Monday I will be suffering from midnight until maybe sometime shortly after noon. This is so not going to go well! I think they just want me to drink that nasty orange drink again is all.

Now on the baby side of things.

We finally got baby J a few more outfits. Some have cars, elephants and ducks! Wow, I just can’t believe how tiny baby clothes are. I hope he can fit them when he comes out as much as he makes me eat, lol. I swear if he doesn’t come out at least 9 pounds I’l be shocked!

So along with that we got his baby bed which is a 7 in 1. I have never heard of a 7 in 1. This will last us a nice long time, yay! It came with a really nice comfortable mattress as well.

The next big thing thing that we need is the placard that will go in the living room and then it will be time to start collecting all those diapers hahaha.

The little guy is doing well. The ultrasound pictures came out better so don’t have to do that again. He is growing as he should, smiles.

I think we must have caught him at a rare moment of taking a cat nap because his heartbeat started off really really slow and then picked up speed when he realized he was getting attention. Of course he didn’t let us listen for long before he started nudging us away and then running away, lol. The lazy little turnip plant’s heart rate was at 154 this week.

So far I’ve gotten lucky and he hasn’t asked over and over again, but much to my dismay J *likes* peanut butter I definitely do not! This is a new development and maybe I’ll get lucky and it will go away, right? Maybe?

So, for those that are playing the guessing game here is the current weight. I am sitting at 180 pounds. Can you imagine that? Just wow and I still have lets just say 12 weeks to go.

I’m as big as a house!

So for those of you that can see here’s the video we did last week, week 25 so you can see what I look like now from the 10 week video.

The little guy is starting to really tap dance in there so I better try and figure out what he wants, lol. Catch you at the next update, smiles.

10 week baby update

For those that receive the updates via email there is a video in this post so you will need to go to my youtube channel www.youtube.com/canadianlynx1 and look for the pregnant May video if you wish to check it out.

Near the end of week 10! Baby J is a prune, lol.

So not much this week on the baby prune front. All is well and running smoothly, smiles. The little one either has me living in the kitchen or wishing I had a pool, lol, and it’s not even summer yet.

This week I had to take the *horrible* sugar test that test for diabetes. Why is it I wish to know that every single time I take this darn test I always end up drinking the orange flavored one? i know there is another flavor out there, right? Right? Why oh why can’t I ever get that one so I could judge which is worse, lol.

After the hour was up I wanted to see what my weight was for the week. Since I was there, why not, right/ Well, guess what? I was 155 pounds last week. Just last week I tell you! This week I am sitting at 157 pounds! Can you believe that? I’m going to hit 160 before March even gets here, hmph!

Hey baby J I really don’t want a stomach the size of a water melon by the time April gets here!

So, Jerry says that by the time I deliver the baby I’ll be sitting at 170 pounds. I say I’ll reach 185. Another friend says 195. Anyone else want to take a guess? Remember as of today I’m at the end of week 10 and the due date is September 4th, but due to having a c-section it will be between August 21 to sometime during the week of August 28th.

The joys of videoing special fun moments, right? Well, if we did this right and it actually shows we decided to video me today so you can see how tiny I am. I’ll try and do a video every few months or something so those that can’t even imagine tiny me being prego and with a huuuuuuuge stomach, lol.

Also in the video I show one of the teething toys that we got for baby J. It’s the strangest teething toy I’ve ever seen, haahhahaah. No, I’m not the one that picked it out. Blame daddy! lol. So for better or worse, here’s the video!

Oh yeah, found out that Jerry chopped my head off near the end, ow! The meany!

For all family and friends that wish to send loads of diapers and diapers and um, did I mention diapers, hahaha and loads of other great things for baby J, we are registered with Amazon. Please shop here

Now unless something comes up with baby or I I won’t have another baby update until our next doctor visit in March. Stay tuned!

Where did the first half of the year go?

Note:
Those reading this by email there is a video in this entry as well so you’ll have to go to my site to see it. Sadly I don’t think anyone has found a way around that yet, sorry.

Where did the first half of this year go? I’m pretty sure I didn’t blink for longer than a few seconds, honest!

And speaking of things flying by, can you believe that luna and I have been a team for almost 9 months already? Didn’t I just get her?

Boy it’s been a very very busy first half of the year and it definitely won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

1. I started at International Academy for my massage therapy training in January. It may take me a while since I’m doing it course by course to get the horrible *boring* courses like anatomy and physiology out of the way! Currently I’m working on A&P4, but that’s about to end on Thursday. Then I’ll be switching to even ore A&P plus 2 other classes, Ethics and Massage Techniques 1-4. Now the massage classes will be more like a refresher for me since I have a background already, but different country so interested to see how that will go.

School wise with all the problems I was having with Carleton University thanks to my disability worker that was as smart as a pole i’ve decided to put my focus more on getting my massage license so that I can start working sooner rather than later, smiles.

2. Sing sing sing! My absolute delight is singing with Shout Sister Choir If you love to sing and have loads of fun doing so and live in Ontario, then you should definitely join one of the chapters. You won’t regret it!

No, we are *not* a religious choir nor are we *nuns* We definitely don’t sing boring songs, but ones like what’s heard here. This is from our end of year show in May and I believe there were 125 of us on stage.

Sadly our season has come to an end, but never fear we’ll be back next season starting in September! Will anyone reading this in the Ontario area be brave and let themselves loose to join us?

3. Starting a business is fun and challenging and I think makes my brain leak out of my ears more than anatomy and physiology does. Whew, good thing I’m trying to get things set up now instead of right when I finish classes. Hopefully all I’ll need to do when the time comes is release my business site and start promoting promoting promoting! For now I need to find a trust worthy financial business person. Psst, anyone know of any in the Ottawa area?

4. Plan plan plan, that’s me! So along with working on business starting up ideas I’m also working on planning our first ever cruise! James and I are hoping things work out and we can go next year for our 4 year anniversary. We’ll be going on Carnival to the Bahamas! I’m going to swim with dolphins and go to Starbucks, hahahahah! Although playing with Sea lions sound like fun too! Decisions decisions.

Ok, think this post is long enough. Take care until next time!

Remembering Prince Noah

Warning, this is a long post and for those receiving this via email there is a video. Sorry so far I still haven’t found something that allows videos to play in the email version.

April 1, 2014 was a day I will never forget. It was the day my previous guide, my white golden Prince Noah was put to sleep. Today marks the first full year without him and thanks to my new best furry pal Luna it’s not as bad as it could have been.

I received Noah shortly after I moved to Ottawa from Canadian Guide dogs and boy was he *huge* I remember when I got him wondering how in the world this big dog would fit anywhere, but he did! He could curl up into the smallest ball that shocked me even at times.

I sadly didn’t get to write much about Prince Noah and his funny ways because I didn’t start writing until August 2012 so missed out on some great memories.

But I’m so glad I have ones like telling Noah not to dance and most certainly the very first time I decided to dance with him

A great shout Sister Choir story:
So one night we were doing a show and sometimes my lovely Noah sits between my feet and sometimes he lays down, either is fine with me since he’s a good boy. We had this one song called ‘Lay Down” hahahha, the first few lines of the song are of course “lay down” So before we started the song my Noah was sitting up and nice and proud in his black shirt and we began to sing, *snickers* “lay down, lay down, lay it all down” You guessed it, the command lay down and over 100 people singing it Noah let out a loud groan as to say “alright already, I’ll lay down” and he plopped on the ground. Talk about funny. All of us had a hard time trying not to laugh and sing at the same time!

Unlike my current stubborn mutt Luna who would just grumble and snort at me if I had the nerve to leave her at home the vindictive Prince Noah got his revenge! Oh yes, he would find things to run me into like *huge* snow piles or *big* cold puddles of water to make me walk through and he’d be wagging his tail the whole time!

i remember during training Tim our trainer and I trying really hard one lesson to get Noah to not jump over or walk around a puddle, but he was having none of it. He refused to get wet if he could help it, lol.

Here is how Prince Noah got the title of Prince:
This one happened when we were actually still in training. We were walking down a busy downtown street, loads of people, tables, chairs and all those lovely obstacles that jump out at you in downtown areas *chuckles* Noah and I get about halfway down the sidewalk when he slams on the breaks. I put my foot out to see what’s up and see nothing, hold my hand out, nothing. Reach down check my dog and he’s looking off to the side. I’m now like completely puzzled and tell him to hup hup. Noah says nope, not moving. He then shakes himself and then looks back off to the side..not happy with whatever it is and shakes himself again even harder, then looks back off to the side. By this time my instructor has reached me and is laughing his head off and tells me what Noah is looking at. We came across a store front that had a window that reflected your reflection back at you like a mirror. I couldn’t help but to laugh and during this Noah gives one last big shake, looks off to the side and is finally happy with his appearance and off we go, bouncing down the street as nothing is wrong, lol.

On March 14 our partnership abruptly came to an end and then I had no idea how I would recover. To this day I still wish I could have made it all better and i panic if Luna seems even slightly out of tune. That part will probably never change, the worrying and wondering what if or could I have.

April 1 will always be a day to remember and a day of celebration!

Prince Noah
may 13, 2009 to April 1, 2014

One month later

Oops, time ran away from me again! It really needs to stop that. I didn’t realize that my last update was a little over a month ago. Bad May, bad!

So, lets catch everyone up on how things are going around here.

Moving once again
It use to be I moved every here from one State or Province to another. Ha, now it seems I have to move every 2 years, lol.

Thanks to the rent increase at Accora Village we decided that it would be best to move instead of running the risk of tapping too much into our extra money that allows us to you know eat and drink and buy things. I first debated on waiting until the summer to move because then it wouldn’t be like freaken cold outside and neither of us would be in classes during the summer.

But, then I thought better of that because I have a little person coming to visit me next summer and I figured better I know the new neighbourhood and already set up instead of trying to learn where things are and not really knowing when she got here. So, winter moving it is, *again*

The end of next month we will be going back to apartment living over at Parkwood Hills

School
Well, I haven’t talked much about school this term and that’s mainly because it just didn’t go as good as I would have liked and planned. Since I really didn’t have to *go* on campus for school, the procrastinator that I am chose to stay home and watch the classes later. Classes by video is a great idea, but ha for me it makes it so easy just to forget I have a class.

Next term however I definitely don’t have a choice, I *must* go to classes. Starting January 6th I’ll be going to C.I.A. Hahahah, amusing!

School 1, Carleton and school 2, International Academy

International Academy, I’ll finally get to start working on getting my national license for massage therapy, yay! Might take me a while since I’m paying for it on a course by course basis, but I’ll get there in the end.

Out of my mind
Back in September I wrote like every single day and the posts were very good and amusing to a lot of people and just about everyone was saying I should like write books and stuff. Hahah, would you be surprised that I actually don’t like writing. It’s like my least favourite thing to do, academically that is. when it comes to writing for school stuff, I absolutely suck, lol. but writing for pleasure I seem to do great even though I hate writing. Figure that one.

So anyways, while at Leader Dogs for the Blind I wrote my first poem in like years. That one was specially written for class 15/03. Shortly after I got home in October I wrote another poem that was a bit better than my first and not long ago…like last week I completely lost my mind and decided I wanted to enter my poem into a writing contest. So, on December 8th I checked to see which poem would be the best and it was the second one I wrote and submitted it. Will I win? Ha, I have no idea, but people say it was good enough to enter, so we shall see.

Now on to the best part, Luna!
Luna and I are doing great! I mentioned Leader dogs a moment ago and much to my surprise I found out that Luna and I are still highly remembered at Leader, ha! Hmm, now it’s December and I was there in September, makes me wonder…them remembering me is that a good thing? *smiles*

There’s finally loads of snow, not just fluff on the ground for Luna to play in. I tried doing a video of her playing in it, but erm that didn’t go so well. Every time I got down on her level to make sure she got on camera, she tackled me into the snow, *grumbles* That and I had to tell her not to try and eat the camera, it was not a toy, lol. So videoing Luna in the snow is definitely a 2 person job and will have to wait until we travel next week. Hopefully they’ll still be lots of snow to play in.

Work wise however. *whew* Traveling with Luna may be tricky if the sidewalks aren’t clear so I know that she hasn’t pulled me off into some deep snow pile just to play. I was told to try the gentle leader with her and I will as soon as mother nature decides if it’s going to snow lots or warm up enough where most of it disappears again. Darn woman is not making it easy for me to fix my dog, ha!

Luna gets *loads* of praise on how well behaved she is, especially during choir. During choir practice she just lays on the floor and doesn’t move…well, that is until someone says the word *ok* Really need to change that trigger word. It’s a pain in the ass!

Speaking of choir! We had another show yesterday afternoon. The purpose of this show was to try and beat the 2012 world record for the most people singing Jingle Bells and the choir I’m in Shout Sister Choir kicked off the event.

Sadly, we didn’t break the record. We only had 350 and we needed 489. I think we could have if the event got a lot more advertising, but ah well it was still fun. If you wish to see a small clip of it, then watch and listen I have no idea what part was caught on video if it’s the whole choir or if you can see Luna Moon. It is about 7 minutes into the news. Hopefully i can find other videos since there were loads of people there videoing the shows.

Luna of course got lots of attention after our part was done by little kids and she loved it. For all the parents that respected the fact that Luna is a working dog and let their child know they couldn’t pet Luna while she was working. i thank you! And of course since they were nice and respected that, their children got love from Luna and her from them, *smiles*

Now to get ready for our next adventure. Off to the families for Christmas next week. Poor Luna!

This time I promise it won’t be a month before the next post, lol.
