Check out time for baby J?

Me: Good evening and thanks for calling Red Roof Inn Springfield, how may I help you?

Baby j; Mommy, mommy, mommy, let me out of here!!! The room is too small, I need bigger space! Whats do I has to do to gets more room?

Me: I’m sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your room little guy, but I see here that we won’t have anything for you until August 29, 2016 which is 6 weeks from now.

Baby J; but but buts, I wants out now now now now! Lets me outs of here! *jab jab, stretch, kicks* I’s not happy! Me demands you lets me out!

hahaha, welcome to the latest update of the little hellion and mommy, smiles. For those that missed the last update we are currently in Springfield Ohio for job training for Red Roof Inn the hotel. I will be at the end of it all able to join the land of reservation agents for this hotel, yay! Whew, let me tell you it is lots to learn, but I am enjoying it.

week 1
Our training class is pretty small with just 5 of us. It’s an *interesting* group for sure, smiles. Our Red Roof Inn trainers are freakin awesome and make the class amusing at times!

So, I finally discovered how to get Jaydon to be still. lol, too bad it doesn’t last long, only about 5 minutes, hahahaha. We discovered that the little guy *loves* it when we go swimming. So much so that I have to watch out for my own safety. He gets so excited and pushes around in there that he can make me crash into the wall or steps or hahah daddy if I’m not paying attention!

What the hell was in that meal?
Thursday night of the first week I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes and lets just say baby J went *nuts*

baby J: jab jab jab, stretch stretch stretch poke poke poke
me: ow ow ow ow ow! Oh dear this isn’t good.

I just figured the little guy was in a mood to seriously idk my butt and ignored it until Saturday night.

baby J: Hellos out there! *punch punch punch, jab jab jab* lets me out of here!
Me: oh hell, I think I better go to the hospital because things just aren’t right.

Hello Springfield Ohio’s birthing staff, nice to meet you sooner than I wanted!

Yep, you read that right. I had to go to the hospital due to all the pain that Jaydon was causing. Turns out that those lovely braxton hicks turned into contractions that were 3 minutes apart!

Me: Holy hell! No no no no no, baby J you can not come out right now!
Baby J: I’s wants out! *push push push* looks at me! Mommy mommy mommy, lets me come out!
Nurses: Wow, what a strong active little boy. You’re going to have fun with him. Good luck!
Me: hahahaha, I’ll need it.

It took 2 breathine shots to finally get the contractions to stop, but little J made sure I knew he wasn’t happy with the fact that I stopped him from coming out. They saw in the ultrasound that he stretched *completely* out with the biggest smile on his face and waved at the camera like he didn’t have a care in the world that he was currently beating up his mother, lol.

week 2
Baby J: *knock knock knock* I’s still here’s mommy! I wants out of here’s still. I has no room! *push push push, kick kick kick* Lets me out out out! Don’t you wants to hold me’s mommy? I wants to meets people!
me: no no no J you still have 6 weeks to go. You must stay in there! Ow ow ow! Someone send me a baby tranqulizer!

It’s a very good thing that we record the training classes because it’s super hard to concentrate on what’s going on when there is a kid trying to become a Red Roof Inn baby! Jaydon is bound and determine that he wants to be born in Springfield. He’s definitely heard that his mommy and daddy will be moving here, but what he fails to realize that that won’t happen until early next year!

Baby J: no no no, I doesn’t wants to waits! Out out out! *stretch stretch stretch, jab jab jab, kick kick kick* Stops ignoring me mommy and lets me out! Someone tells her to lets me out!

What will week 3 of training bring? Hopefully *not* the little honeydew hellion!

Welcome to Parkwood Hills

Whew, guess it’s time for at lease one update. I am so behind and so much to share!

James and I have been in our new apartment for a week now. Let me tell you it was the fastest move I’ve ever done! A few of my Shout Sisters and their friends and family members came to help and within 5 minutes of them showing up at the old house half the stuff was already loaded on the truck. The whole move was started at 10AM and done around 12:30PM.

I greatly appreciated the help and generosity that was given that day. It was more than I asked for or expected, smiles.

It will take some getting use to living in apartments again, but the building is nice and everything we need is easy to locate without running into too many walls, lol. The best part is once again we’re attached to the building with the pool. So at least for now no more having to go *outside* to get to the pool! Now come the summer the indoor pool closes and we have to switch to the *outdoor* pool. That pool isn’t close by so that will be fun to figure out. Now if they will just get a hot tub!

One thing that I was definitely concerned about is the fact that the laundry machines use *smart cards* and my previous experience with them sucked! However, the staff here are helpful in loading the card for us and most importantly we found out that the machines beep the moment you put the card in the machine. So no guessing *when the heck do I press the buttons* We also learned that if the machine doesn’t beep, then most likely that machine doesn’t work and won’t eat your money!

Now, Luna and the apartment. Whew, definitely some things to work on.
1. dogs, dogs, dogs!!! Unlike where we use to live and sometimes run into dogs, Luna will pretty much always run into a dog here. This *definitely* a work distraction. If you remember Luna and the squirrels she’s like that now with the dogs! So trying to figure how to best get her use to dogs just popping up in places.
2. Brrrrrrrr, luna *loves* to make me freeze when it’s time to go outside. Instead of doing her business, she wants to jump around in the snow and snort it up her nose. Boy how this girl enjoys playing in the snow. But, if we have to sadly work outside and wait for buses in the cold she *hates* that! I don’t blame her. I’m ready for this darn winter to leave already. Now the problem I have is she’s so interested in playing in the snow she won’t go do her business completely. She’ll give me a number 1, but not a number 2. Then once we get back upstairs about 10 minutes later she’s *loudly* stating that she needs to go out, groans!
3. Salt, salt, salt! Ugh, all this salt is even annoying to me. luna will stop moving if it’s too much salt so then I have to coax her to get moving. The sooner I can get her inside, the sooner I can clean off that annoying salt.

Once again my Luna moon shows me how quick she learns. We only had a chance to learn how to find the way from the bus stop to the apartment and vice versa once. Let me tell you even just once that girl of mine had no trouble bringing me home the first night we worked it from school. I’m so proud of her!

Once the weather warms up we’ll get lots of walking in which Luna will love since she loves to work. she can’t stand being inside for too long. So someone *please* send us that warm weather!

Until next time I’m off to freeze!

One month later

Oops, time ran away from me again! It really needs to stop that. I didn’t realize that my last update was a little over a month ago. Bad May, bad!

So, lets catch everyone up on how things are going around here.

Moving once again
It use to be I moved every here from one State or Province to another. Ha, now it seems I have to move every 2 years, lol.

Thanks to the rent increase at Accora Village we decided that it would be best to move instead of running the risk of tapping too much into our extra money that allows us to you know eat and drink and buy things. I first debated on waiting until the summer to move because then it wouldn’t be like freaken cold outside and neither of us would be in classes during the summer.

But, then I thought better of that because I have a little person coming to visit me next summer and I figured better I know the new neighbourhood and already set up instead of trying to learn where things are and not really knowing when she got here. So, winter moving it is, *again*

The end of next month we will be going back to apartment living over at Parkwood Hills

School
Well, I haven’t talked much about school this term and that’s mainly because it just didn’t go as good as I would have liked and planned. Since I really didn’t have to *go* on campus for school, the procrastinator that I am chose to stay home and watch the classes later. Classes by video is a great idea, but ha for me it makes it so easy just to forget I have a class.

Next term however I definitely don’t have a choice, I *must* go to classes. Starting January 6th I’ll be going to C.I.A. Hahahah, amusing!

School 1, Carleton and school 2, International Academy

International Academy, I’ll finally get to start working on getting my national license for massage therapy, yay! Might take me a while since I’m paying for it on a course by course basis, but I’ll get there in the end.

Out of my mind
Back in September I wrote like every single day and the posts were very good and amusing to a lot of people and just about everyone was saying I should like write books and stuff. Hahah, would you be surprised that I actually don’t like writing. It’s like my least favourite thing to do, academically that is. when it comes to writing for school stuff, I absolutely suck, lol. but writing for pleasure I seem to do great even though I hate writing. Figure that one.

So anyways, while at Leader Dogs for the Blind I wrote my first poem in like years. That one was specially written for class 15/03. Shortly after I got home in October I wrote another poem that was a bit better than my first and not long ago…like last week I completely lost my mind and decided I wanted to enter my poem into a writing contest. So, on December 8th I checked to see which poem would be the best and it was the second one I wrote and submitted it. Will I win? Ha, I have no idea, but people say it was good enough to enter, so we shall see.

Now on to the best part, Luna!
Luna and I are doing great! I mentioned Leader dogs a moment ago and much to my surprise I found out that Luna and I are still highly remembered at Leader, ha! Hmm, now it’s December and I was there in September, makes me wonder…them remembering me is that a good thing? *smiles*

There’s finally loads of snow, not just fluff on the ground for Luna to play in. I tried doing a video of her playing in it, but erm that didn’t go so well. Every time I got down on her level to make sure she got on camera, she tackled me into the snow, *grumbles* That and I had to tell her not to try and eat the camera, it was not a toy, lol. So videoing Luna in the snow is definitely a 2 person job and will have to wait until we travel next week. Hopefully they’ll still be lots of snow to play in.

Work wise however. *whew* Traveling with Luna may be tricky if the sidewalks aren’t clear so I know that she hasn’t pulled me off into some deep snow pile just to play. I was told to try the gentle leader with her and I will as soon as mother nature decides if it’s going to snow lots or warm up enough where most of it disappears again. Darn woman is not making it easy for me to fix my dog, ha!

Luna gets *loads* of praise on how well behaved she is, especially during choir. During choir practice she just lays on the floor and doesn’t move…well, that is until someone says the word *ok* Really need to change that trigger word. It’s a pain in the ass!

Speaking of choir! We had another show yesterday afternoon. The purpose of this show was to try and beat the 2012 world record for the most people singing Jingle Bells and the choir I’m in Shout Sister Choir kicked off the event.

Sadly, we didn’t break the record. We only had 350 and we needed 489. I think we could have if the event got a lot more advertising, but ah well it was still fun. If you wish to see a small clip of it, then watch and listen I have no idea what part was caught on video if it’s the whole choir or if you can see Luna Moon. It is about 7 minutes into the news. Hopefully i can find other videos since there were loads of people there videoing the shows.

Luna of course got lots of attention after our part was done by little kids and she loved it. For all the parents that respected the fact that Luna is a working dog and let their child know they couldn’t pet Luna while she was working. i thank you! And of course since they were nice and respected that, their children got love from Luna and her from them, *smiles*

Now to get ready for our next adventure. Off to the families for Christmas next week. Poor Luna!

This time I promise it won’t be a month before the next post, lol.

Greenbank Towers Apartments, lets tell you what they won’t

Looking for that new place to call home? If you live in Ottawa Ontario or thinking about moving here, then I advise you to not move to Greenbank Towers because it’s not what it seems.

A nice secured building
Oops, wait that only applies if they remember to close the front doors or lets not mention tell you about major updating to the buzzer system and all hell breaks loose.

Those cameras that they have around the building in case something goes wrong I guess are great if you don’t find yourself actually needing them. If you have someone constantly harassing you in ways you are not comfortable with, do you think they are going to do it where a camera can catch them? No way, so then it becomes your word against theirs. Oh the shame of it all!

Nice friendly staff that care about their tenants. now who wouldn’t love that?
Oh, that last only until you’ve moved in and you need to fix something right away.
They are only nice until you start complaining about other tenants keeping you awake at 3 in the morning by hammering, playing video games or loud music at top volume or there’s a poor dog barking constantly for hours and hours and for weeks and weeks.
That only last until they make a mistake and you try and call them on it. Take a look at this post right over here and learn about that.
See the staff at Greenbank Towers Apartments aren’t allowed to be nice to the tenants in the building or they get called into the office and told to cut that out.

Oh look the building is so clean and well taken care of. That’s awesome isn’t it?
Well, we thought so too until it was time to move into a place and the apartment looked like the worlds biggest trash dump on the day we moved in. Better have your own cleaning crew handy. The elevators always smell like, well, I don’t want to go there. i just advise getting nose plugs or something if you insist on staying.

Speaking of the elevators lets talk about those for a moment ok?
I really hope you aren’t afraid of getting stuck in closed areas because those things do get stuck and way too often. It does no good to report it because they won’t do anything about it either since they claim they are “new” elevators. Be safe take the stairs if you must, but I wouldn’t want to always climb up and down them if I stay on the 18th floor, *whew* Oh yes there are 3 of them, but you would never know it. Damn things are slower than a turtle and when the stupid fire alarm goes off, ha, could take you forever to get back to your floor.

Now onto that lovely fire alarm
I hope you don’t like sleep or have kids. if so you can kiss sleep good bye a great deal of the time. Those alarms go off at all hours, 10 pm, midnight, 3 AM, you name it and it’s always a false alarm. For reasons like the sprinkler system in the basement set it off or the fire alarm panel went wonky or hell, just because it felt like messing up your sleep when it’s freezing cold outside. Even the fire fighters just shake their heads whenever they have to show up these days.

Staying on the topic of fires and your safety or your kids or animals. Hell even for your apartment that you’re paying all that money for. If they tell you that throwing lit smokes off the patio will get the person in some kind of trouble. sorry, they lie. All they will say is oh well and shrug and do nothing.
See one day we found out that the person above us was doing just that and they actually burned a hole in a piece of our furniture. What would have happened if a fire would have started out their on the patio? What if one of us would have been seriously hurt? Do you think the staff at Greenbank Towers cared? Of course not!

Is this the place you really want to put money into? Where you and your families safety could be at risk? No no no, please don’t move here. Find somewhere safer and where the staff care about their tenants and making things right if something goes wrong. Put your life and those of your pets and loved family members in the hands of anyone but Greenbank Towers who is managed by Paramount Properties.

Take my word for it. i lived in Greenbank Towers and have seen the real deal. Greenbank Towers may look nice and you may love all the pretty words they tell you, but that only last until you are a tenant!

Dreams do come true!

Well, I didn’t think this day would ever come, but as of Friday morning my dream has come true! James and I at the end of next month will move into our dream house.

Accora Village is all we could ask for and them some. We completely fell in love with it the first time we saw it back in October and all over again once we went in after all the signing was done with the thought of where do we put this piece of furniture and what room is what.

The days of me being scared to leave the apartment here at Greenbank Towers does have an end in sight now. I can keep telling myself just 29 more days to deal with the discomfort and tenseness of running into someone that likes to take advantage of me. just 29 more days before i feel completely safe in our house.

We have 5 bedrooms, living room, dining room, front and back yard to find furniture for. Boy I am sooooo excited! These last days here need to fly by like really quickly.

Must find movers to help and people that can drive a u-haul and continue to bounce off walls! Will write more about the new place another time.

So uncomfortable, but stuck in situation

I’m not sure what’s worse wanting something so bad that it drives you nuts, or wanting something bad enough but may not get it.

I’m no longer comfortable with the building I’m living in for extremely personal reasons. There’s also this really awesome place that I wish we could move to like last month, but we need a co-signer. Sadly those aren’t easy to come by.

Knowing that there’s a much better place out there and the fact that it’s just out of reach due to needing a co-signer makes it even difficult to stay here.

Trying to explain to people that no matter how big this complex is that doesn’t mean I won’t run into the person that’s causing me the discomfort. In fact, I see them more than I like and it just makes it so I never want to leave the apartment.

Ugh, I need something to seriously keep my mind busy or something if a co-signer can’t be found or falls through or something and we have to stay here. Maybe this first step of writing down partly what’s going on will help me.

*sniffs*

Maybe not!

Found Our Dream House

OMG, I’m soooooo in love!

This afternoon James and I went to look at what we were first calling our potential new home. Well, that potential has turned into a “absolutely!”

Accora Village won me over when I first looked at the description on their site, but after going there today and seeing first a garden house and then a townhouse I’m in love. The places are totally awesome and that makes staying here at Greenbank Towers extremely difficult. Especially now with everything going on, but more about that later.

James and I will be moving into a garden house. If you count the room that’s in the basement it’s 5, count them, 5 rooms! We will have our pools both inside and out, a hot tub, fitness centre and loads more at this community. Go check it out and you’ll see. I’d say it all here but then the post would go on forever!

This will be the perfect house for us to have that family that we’re also planning on.

Another great thing is that we’ll also be close to our favorite anniversary place to eat Boston Pizza and they hopefully we’ll deliver since we’ll be closer to one of the locations.

Can we move yet?

Ok, so the reason we are thinking about moving already and want to move like now is because our current living situation has become hostile and we no longer trust management. Since it is currently going on I will not going into the details right now, but will definitely when things cool off a bit.

Anyways, back to the good stuff. Moving once again and this time there will not be a move after it. I guess we’re not going to completely unpack after all. Way too much work to have to pack everything up again. So might as well wait until we move to our final destination.

more later must go back to mentally decorating our house.
